I began my career with the Sacramento County Sheriff's office in May of 2015. I was assigned to the Main Jail division where I worked for approximately two and a half years. During my time working the jail I was a member of the Custody Emergency Response Team (CERT) and later a Jail Training Officer (JTO)
I began my patrol career in December of 2017 where I was assigned to our North Division. I immediately knew I wanted to work with a K9 and be a part of our K9 detail. I began volunteering with training days and learned more about the dogs and the training process. In January of 2020, I was reassigned to Central Division patrol.
In October of 2020 a position on the K9 detail opened up, I applied and tested. I was fortunate enough to be selected for our K9 team and I was paired with K9 Tucker. Once introduced, K9 Tucker and I have been inseparable. Forming a strong bond right away, K9 Tucker and I gained each others trust and compassion through hard work and repetition. K9 Tucker and I endured rigorous training in order to complete the certification process.
On his days off, K9 Tucker enjoys lying on the grass, playing with family, and chewing on his favorite toy. K9 Tucker enjoys the home life equally as much as he enjoys to work.
